Cousins.

This is one of my shoots from my busy Saturday a couple weeks ago.  It was the first of the day and I was so excited for it.  Mostly because I love this family so much, but also because they texted me for my Starbucks order before I got there- they know how to win me over.

Dexter & Lucy actually come to my house during the week for daycare.  I’ve watched them for over a year now, and they have absolutely become family.  They are absolutely wonderful kids, and their parents are 100% to blame for it.  It’s been really great to get to know this family so well.  So, you have to know that when Liz asked me to do some family photos, I was totally on board.  The main reason for said photos was because Dexter and Lucy got a brand new cousin this past May.  It actually ended up feeling like a big moment for me when sweet Hazel was born, since Dexter has always talked about his Aunt Louise and Uncle Timmy quite a bit.  So getting together with all of them just seemed natural.

We decided to build a little fort.  Dexter has been way into forts lately and I thought it’d be a great way to keep the kids’ interest for some photos.

It worked.  Maybe for only a few minutes, but enough to get some pretty cute shots.

Lucy isn’t quite old enough to want to hold Hazel yet, but Dexter is.  And he does such a great job!

Cousins.

Hazel is so cute and round.  She reminded me so much of my Henry.

And though she did pretty good in the bumbo, she was happiest of all with her mom and dad.  I always think that’s a great thing.

I love this next one.  Dexter adores his dad.

Lucy is seriously one of the happiest girls I know, but especially when she’s with her family.  These next shots are so true to their family.

Then we went outside for a group shot.  I got a few more of these guys because I just couldn’t resist Hazel’s cute hooded outfit.

Favorite.

On the way back up to the attic to pack up the tent, I saw this awesome tub they had.  So we figured we might as well put the kids in there.

Thanks to the Leo and Nunn family for letting me hang out!  And for the latte!
