Pinning! Clothing Edition

Happy Friday!  Hopefully you find yourself reading this is a nicely air conditioned area, away from the thick substance that the weatherman refers to as “mild humidity”… seriously, I have to swim my way to the house… this is not mild.  But, I guess the [West Michigan] world will be redeemed on Monday with the most glorious Labor Day forecast in sight, 64 and sunny!  Ah!  That is a beautiful thing indeed!

Anyway, to preoccupy your pretty little self until then, I decided it was time for another addition of, sayitwithme…. Pinning! And yes, this week it is all going to be from my clothing board (with working photos this time)!  I have a couple things I think about when looking for clothing:  A) Is the item a good color for me? (I am a winter.  You can find out your season here.)  B) Is it practical for me to wear as a mom?  A photographer?  On a date? For me it needs to work for at least 2 of those scenarios. And finally, C) Will I look pretty awesome in it?  (The answer should always be a resounding yes.)

First on the agenda is this wonderful chambray top.  I would like 10 of these and very quickly please. 

This next one is also from jcrew (because I love them so), and is something I hope to purchase within the next year for a wedding we have next summer. 

Also, let’s be honest here, who doesn’t need more turquoise in her life?

NOw, I don’t have the original link for this next image, but it’s adorable and I’m sure you could do your best to piece it together.  What do I love about it?  Well, everything.  The scarf combined with the nicely fitted jacket is just wonderful.  And I can never argue with a nice navy stripe.  And quite frankly, the knee highs peeking out of the boots is just a perfect ending to this ensemble.  

These next two would pair well together.  I hope I have the chance to do so in the near future.

So, I feel like this next one could be one of the most practical looks for my life.  I could move every which way in this, be quite comfortable, and still look like a respectable human being….that sounds like a win to me. 

First of all, let’s all just share how excited we are for jacket weather!  And 2nd, how excited we are for this jacket!

And this should be a part of my every day life. That’s my vote.
